Krav Maga Sessions for Women - CPTS Centre Essonne
Context: Krav Maga classes for women survivors of violence or abuse
The CPTS Centre Essonne (a French local healthcare coordination network) regularly develops innovative initiatives for the health and well-being of the local population. In that spirit, a first-of-its-kind programme was created for women survivors of violence or abuse: Krav Maga sessions led by professionals.
Conceived as a lever for empowerment, the initiative combines physical activity, self-defence and psychosocial support. The goal: to help these women reclaim their bodies, their space and their confidence, while supporting their physical and mental health.
To showcase this deeply meaningful initiative, the CPTS Centre Essonne asked us to create an immersive video telling its story through the words of participants and their instructor.
Our work: filming and producing an immersive mini-documentary
Our team handled the full production of a video that weaves together sensitive interviews and footage from the field. It gives the floor to the participants and the Krav Maga coach, while illustrating their words with images filmed during a training session.
We took care to capture both the intensity and the kindness within the group, filming the physical exercises with full respect for the intimacy and protective setting these workshops require. The interplay between words and gestures strengthens the message, showing concretely how the initiative transforms the participants' confidence, posture and energy.
This mini-documentary illustrates the CPTS Centre Essonne's concrete commitment to women's health, and testifies to the transformative power of local initiatives carried out with humanity and professionalism.
